ECR Representative to the ISCHE Executive Committee

Dear Early Career Researchers in the ISCHE community,

Would you like to help strengthen the voice of Early Career Researchers within the ISCHE community? We are pleased to announce an open position for an ECR representative on the ISCHE Executive Board.

As one of two ECR representatives, you will take part in the work of the Executive Board and its meetings. You will be particularly involved in organizing, continuously developing, and renewing ECR activities at ISCHE conferences - both online and onsite - as well as in initiatives that extend beyond the annual events.

Executive Board meetings occur approximately six times per year. They are held online, with scheduling designed, as far as possible, to accommodate all the members’ time zones.

With a forward-looking perspective, ISCHE is committed to listening to, engaging with, and supporting the development of the next generation of Historians of Education. The ECR representatives play a key role in advancing this commitment.

How to apply

If you are interested in the position, please submit:

  • a short motivation statement (max. 1 page), and
  • a CV (max. 1 page)

Please send your application to Lisa Rosén Rasmussen (lisa(at)edu.au.dk) by 1 May 2026.

If you have any questions about the role, you are very welcome to contact Lisa using the same email address.

The selected candidate will be appointed by the Executive Board from among the applicants and will be notified before June 2026.

NB: ISCHE defines Early Career Researchers (ECRs) as students and scholars at the undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate level (depending on national context), and up to five years post-PhD.
