ISCHE welcomes historians of education to join as individual members.  We also welcome national, regional and other history of education associations to join as institutional members (information available here).

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERSHIP

ISCHE is a globe-spanning international association of historians of education dedicated to fostering the history of education around the world and to strengthening linkages and collaborations among individual historians of education.

• All ISCHE individual members will receive a preferential, discounted ISCHE conference registration rate.
• We are pleased to be able to offer discounted subscriptions to the journal Paedagogica Historica (online only or print+online) as an optional part of ISCHE membership.
• ISCHE offers sharply discounted memberships for students and Early Career researchers.
• The ISCHE annual membership corresponds to the calendar year, January 1 to December 31st.
• Membership is renewed automatically if  the subscriber does not cancel it.
• Individuals who join ISCHE part way through the year will enjoy membership benefits through the completion of that calendar year.

Terms of Registration 

• All individuals with a research interest in the field of history of education are eligible as ISCHE members
• Early Career Researchers Member are entitled to a reduced member ship fee. An Early Career Researchers is hereby defined as someone who is making graduate or postgraduate studies or that has completed their Ph.D. in the past five years.
• Colleagues who register as Early Career Researchers will be asked to send a prove of their student status to the ISCHE office.
• ISCHE membership is linked to the calendar year. ISCHE membership will automatically renew early in December if not cancelled before. ISCHE will send reminders on the scheduled renewal with information on how to seize the membership not later than 4 weeks before the scheduled renewal.
• ISCHE members understand and agree that ISCHE will contact them with updates on the association and its activities ( i.e. Book Award, Best Paper Award, Conference Updates, et al). The software used for this is Mailchimp. Data is stored in the U.S.
• In order to allow for the reduced subscription to PH, ISCHE and T&F will exchange data on those members who express their willingness to subscribe to the journal. (name/ email/ ISCHE member ID) You can express your interest to subscribe to the journal by confirming the relevant check box in the sign-up form.

Registration for membership will be possible again from January 2025.
