ISCHE 46 – Call for Proposals
The ISCHE 46 Theme is ‘Teachers and Teaching – History on the Move’.
In addition to the general call, the ISCHE Standing Working Groups would like to encourage discussion on specific thematic topics and have therefore issued their special call. You will find an overview of all the Call for Papers below.
The conference will receive submissions through eight thematic strands (A-Strands):
- Teachers’ career paths and identities.
- Teachers’ working and living conditions.
- Knowledge practices.
- Relationships and interactions with other actors.
- Teaching tools and school artifacts.
- Teachers and teaching outside the school.
- Non-human actors and teaching practices.
- Representations of teachers and teaching in literature, cinema and mass culture.
or through six strands from the participating SWGs (B-Strands):
- Public Histories of Education

- History of Knowledge in the History of Education
- History of Education in African Societies
- Teacher Education and Written Culture: History of Libraries, Books, and Practices
