Early Career Researchers
ISCHE is very future focused and thereby keen to support the development of the next generation of Historians of Education. A number of initiatives have been developed, many through conversation with early career scholars at annual conferences. We define Early Career Researchers (ECR) as students and scholars who are at the undergraduate, graduate or post-graduate level (depending on national context) up to 5 years post-PhD. We invite you to join in the many activities ISCHE designs for ECRs and to suggest your own.
The current initiatives include
- ISCHE Early Career Conference Paper Award
- ISCHE First Book Award
- Travel bursaries to attend the annual conference
- Contribution to the History of Education Doctoral Summer School
- ECRs lunch during the annual conference
- Panel at the annual conference about getting published
- List of resources where to look for academic opportunities
